Welcome Message continued
It is no exaggeration to say that almost every attorney who practices Elder Law in Massachusetts is a member of our Chapter. Our organization strives to help our members become ever better at serving the needs of the senior and disabled client, to educate the public, and to promote sound, sensible public policy and laws that affect senior and disabled residents of the Commonwealth.
In addition to a powerful national presence, our members are the leading writers and teachers of continuing legal education in Elder Law for the Massachusetts Bar Association, the Boston Bar Association, Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education, Inc., and Suffolk University's Advanced Legal Studies Program.
Members strive to continually hone their skills and add to their knowledge.
The membership gathers at seven educational dinner or breakfast meetings per year plus two all-day institutes. In addition to the National listserv, members have access to a very active Massachusetts Chapter listserv where novel questions are raised and answered on a regular basis; members connect to help one another and share late breaking news. Members receive a regularly published newsletter with information that is not available elsewhere, including valuable and instructive member-contributed Fair Hearing Decisions from MassHealth.
Elder Law attorneys are perhaps the most collegial attorneys in the nation.
You will find that our members embody the highest sense of ethics, professional responsibility, and devotion to our unique and special clientele.
Do not hesitate to contact me, other board members, or any chapter member, if you are looking for more information or you believe we can assist you or your organization.
